It was really really fantastic! It’s a little pricey but the food is well worth it! I had the schnitzel with mushroom gravy and extra salad instead of fries, with tartar sauce on the side, as shown in the first photo. In the second photo, I got the battered white fish, with fries, salad, and a side of tartar sauce. As someone who eats fish a lot, I promise this is a dish. Well worth it! Great portion sizes as well. I will be back to try everything on the menu! Fantastic food and great service. 1000% recommended!
A cozy place to grab a great meal, we had the fried eggplant followed by the schnitzel. Both dishes were delicious and portions were on point for the price. The self serve drinks are a nice touch and I like the laid back way of ordering your food as well. This young entrepreneur has a great thing going.

We ordered Schnitzel, German sausages, and salad. Everything was perfectly delicious and way above my expectation for restaurants in such a small town. I would definitely recommend anyone coming to Yellowknife to try the food here, and would also come again ourselves the next time we’re in YK. The waiter is very friendly and helpful. This seems to be a place where you need to clean up after yourself (with notes on the wall), but while we’re holding the dishes, the waiter came and helped us with the rest. The only minor issue is that the smoke from the kitchen seems to slowly fill in the dining area, and at one point my eyes feel hurting and tearing a lot. If anyone has sensitive eyes like I do, maybe the place is more suitable for take-outs.
Cozy little restaurant where you can savour German cuisine in Yellowknife! The Jagerschnitzel (Pork schnitzel topped with homemade mushroom sauce) was delicious! The ambiance was great with German tunes playing. I liked that I could order my meal directly by scanning a QR code, so I could take my time to choose what I wanted, and I was quickly served by the cook and owner. Some might find this odd, but it's great ingenuity in 2023! Good luck and prosperity to Shania, I will definitely come back! Prost!
What a lovely gem of a restaurant. The food was astounding. We had pan fried whitefish, fries, and a German Pork Schnitzel. Plus some yummy adult beverages. The fish was delicious, cooked with a light breading that was to die for. Yum!
Of all the places we ate in Yellowknife this was by far our favorite! Shania is a sweetheart and carries her mother’s legacy of cooking great food with love and pride. Not to miss!
